Surf in North Eleuthera
Official Eleuthera Harbour Island brings you more information on surf in North Eleuthera.
Eleuthera is home to some of the most beautiful and powerful waves in the Bahamas. Eleuthera has it all: point breaks, reef breaks, and beach breaks. The best breakers are found on the island’s north and east shores, which are on the side of the Atlantic Ocean.
For size and regularity, the finest surf season is October through April. Winds often move offshore when strong cold fronts pass off the east coast of the United States, and the surf is really good! It’s usually small waves from May through July, and then the months of August, September, and October present the threat of hurricane.
Bahamas Out-Island Adventures: It is the first company to offer guided camping surfaris for one day, two days/1 night, three days/2 nights, and four days/3 nights, each day looking out and surfing the greatest waves on the island. Their surf guides know where all the greatest breaks are and when they operate best in terms of swell, tide, and wind. They usually have these breaks entirely to ourselves. You’ll sleep in comfy tents listening to the waves roll in at night while camping by firelight beneath the stars. Their meals are all nutritious, fascinating, and tasty!
