Most inhabited Bahamas islands have cell towers that you will be able to connect to. Depending where you sail you should not be far away from a signal, maybe just a few hours away. Boaters that want to be connected all the time should use a satellite phone, the phone is expensive, the cost per minute is also way higher than regular cell phone, however it is very reliable.
