Official Eleuthera Harbour Island brings you more information on Gregory Town Ray of Hope. June Robbins created this fundraiser.
During Christmas 2020 in Gregory Town Eleuthera, a house burned and the fire consumed it. This fire was a reminder of the importance of fire prevention. The shocking truth is that Gregory Town, as well as surrounding communities, have been without a fire truck or any firefighting apparatus for years.
Gregory Town Ray of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to making Gregory Town and its surrounding areas a safer place to live. They are currently building 6 Fire Trailers that will be able to fight fires in Gregory Town, Commonage, Oleander Gardens, Rainbow Bay, Eleuthera Island Shores and other areas as the needs arise.
These durable and portable Fire Trailers will be able to respond quickly to fires. They’re easy to use, require less maintenance and are capable of delivering more water to a fire in a shorter amount of time. The association needs your financial support to build 5 additional trailers. They are organizing a donation to protect the community from devastating fires.
