When two different tides, one from the north-western side and the other from the south-eastern side, fight against each other to rise and fall, it results in the Current Cut. 

It is pretty fascinating to see how a tidal current can reach up to the velocity of 10 knots. The Current Island and the Eleuthera Island form the Current Cut. Divers and swimmers find this place quite amusing, while most of the people are afraid of it.
