Harbour Island is a landmark in the Bahamas and boaters are truly in love with the area, it is the island life but with quite a lot of attractions.
Boat captains may decide not to dock their vessel in the marinas because of lack of availability or simply because they don’t want to pay those hefty docking fees; they have plenty of spots to anchor out. Boats should never anchor out in the Ocean because of the elements and because of the large number of shallow reefs.
Boaters anchor on the bay side where they will be sheltered and most of them prefer to be within close vicinity of the marina so that they can easily get access to the island and enjoy Harbour Island.
Those spots are just south of Brilland Marina, and just north of Romora Bay Marina.
