Each owner may freely decide which form of payment they accept or decline.
Traditional modes of payments are available in the Bahamas but it does not mean that they are accepted by all. Some owners may accept some credit cards while rejecting others because of the cost that is associated with them. A lot of owners on the island refuse credit card payments and request wire transfers.
Depending if clients are negotiating directly with the owner or with an agency, payments may be sent to the agency or to the owner with the accepted form of payments. Based on the owner’s preference he may require a payment in their Bahamian bank account or in the location where they live. The currency used is either USD or Bahamian dollars ( both currencies are pegged).
