Golf carts are the best mode of transportation on the island and it is also one of the reasons why the experience of spending holidays in Harbour Island is so fun. Most of everyone on the Island drives in golf carts: locals, part time residents or simply visitors.
Stretch limousines to transport VIPs, magnates or celebrities is not an “Harbour island thing”. Crossing Elle MacPherson, Jennifer Anniston or any other stars on a golf cart is what you should expect.
During high season (end of November to end of April) we suggest that you book your Golf cart in advance, the island is extremely busy and securing a golf cart could be challenging.
Golf carts come in different sizes for 2, 4 and 6 people. Some are electric and others are gas . Visitors can pick up their golf carts at the agency’s location or they can be delivered at the location where you stay and this is a free service.
Some luxury vacation homes such as La Palmeraie Bahamas includes also the use of Golf carts.
